Congo
Zamarat Mining is acquiring 70 % of Compagnie Minière du Chaillu in Republic of Congo, from its partner Mexivada Mining. The property consists of five exclusive permits over 1990 sq.km for gold, connected substances and raw diamonds near Mayoko, in the South-West of the Republic of Congo and close to the Gabonese border. The projects are centered on the Archean Mayoko Greenstone Belt, a past producer of alluvial gold and large gem diamonds. A “gold rush” has recently started aside our Malambani concession on a placer gold deposit near Mousondji.
Gold
Zamarat‘s focus in Republic of Congo is on the discovery of large-scale gold deposits, of over 1,000,000 ounce, in addition to evaluating the well-known and substantial high-grade placer gold deposits on site. Placer gold mining operations will start shortly, with some deposits containing large gold nuggets and grades of up to 8.8 grams per cubic meter of coarse particulate (panned) gold. Zamarat is exploring three 14 to 21 km long gold belts at Mayoko. In one of the gold bearing flats, the gold reserve is estimated at 15,000 oz. of Gold. We estimate the potential of alluvial Gold in the permit at more than 200,000 oz.
Diamonds
Alluvial diamonds have been discovered in several places on our concessions. Historically, an alluvial diamond resource of 4,500 carats was outlined near Bikelele, and 17,000 carats of alluvial diamonds were mined from the nearby Nzambi area. Diamonds were collected at Bitsandou, including a 0.75 carat flawless, inclusion-free, fancy colored diamond gemstone of light blue-green color, and several gems of orange brown colors.
